From March 6th to the 8th, 2014, Meccanotecnica, through its branch office in North America, Book Automation, attended the Dscoop 9 conference in Orlando FL.
With the call “Break the Mold” over 2,200 attendees from around the world took advantage of the opportunity to explore new ideas, engage in educational sessions, meet new people and connecting with partners.
During the closing speech “Around the world with HP Indigo”, Alon Bar-Shany, Vice president and General Manager HP Indigo Division, shared some insight of the printing industries and inspiring customer stories across the globe. A special note for the amazing digital finishing was made of our prestigious customer, Press up, who is successfully using the Meccanotecnica Universe Sewing.
From its booth in the Ruby partner pavilion, Book Automation contributed to the conversation by presenting the Universe Sewing: a machine that matches both the need for high quality sewn books together with the profitability of low/mid run productions. Even in the digital environment, book sewing will remain as the primary method for permanently and reliably binding various types of paper.
Furthermore, thanks to the simultaneous feeding of digital flat sheets and offset signatures, the Universe Sewing is the smart book sewing machine for automatically mixing standard and personalized content.
